Failed to install boot image. Unspecified error (Error: 80004005; Source: Windows)

Failed to install WinPE. Code(0x80004005)

 

Sometimes above error msg will be shown when using USB boot media or WinPE CD just before staging the boot media.

The error means,  the Task Sequence cannot detect the hard drive, even though DiskPart shown the hard drive. This indicates missing hard drive disk control drivers in WinPE.

After adding the appropriate storage drivers to WinPE error will go away.
