The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized



Some times without any reason System Center Operations Manager console stops working and when we launch SCOM 2012 console we will get following error msg;
Failed to connect to server <Server name>
The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized.

If we check for Data Access services under services we cannot find Data Access service.
Well, the actual service is called System Center Data Access service.

Locate System Center Data Access service under services and start it.
Now SCOM’s console should launch without any issue.

    Hi Venu,
    I am getting the error like Windows could not start the system centre data access servic on local computer
    Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly

    If service is running and still this issue is occurring,you should check if you are able to access your database in management studio or not.
