Recently I needed to deploy an .msu as an application using SCCM. When deployed to the test machine it failed to install and software centre displayed The software change returned error code 0x3(3).
Once I corrected the program and the error went away.
AppEnforce.log (C:\Windows\CCM\Logs\) revealed "Unmatched exit code (3) is considered an execution failure."
When I closely looked into the program command line, I have specified /quiet/norestart without space.
Perhaps that has caused the .msu to fail to install.Once I corrected the program and the error went away.
