SCCM 2012 task Sequence will give below error msg when deploying an OS using OSD task Sequence

Failed to install boot image. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. (Error: 80070570; Source Windows)

Failed to install WinPE. Code(0x80070570)

Error: 80070570

I have noticed mainly this issue when the task sequence was cancelled half through of applying an OS image or halfway through the formatting stage.

To resolve this issue; in WinPE open a command prompt using F8 then run

>DiskPart

>list disk

>select disk 0

>clean

Reboot the machine into Task sequence and task sequence will run without any issue.
