The Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Sequencer is a component of the App-V suite used to package applications to be deploy to the systems using the App-V Client.
Before installing the App-V sequencer, review the requirements.
The hardware requirements are; 1GHz or faster processor with 1GB or Higher memory, possibly a virtual machine with over 40GB hdd size
The software requirements are; Windows 7 SP1 or higher with the latest patches installed, .Net 4.0 higher and PowerShell 3.0 or higher versions
To start the installation download Desktop Optimization pack from volume licensing centre.
Extract the ISO file then go to \SW_DVD5_Dsktp_Optimization_Pck_SA_2013_English_-2_MLF_X18-90519\App-V\Installers\5.0_SP1\Sequencer then run appv_sequencer_setup.exe as an Administrator.
1.This will launch Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Sequencer 5.0 Setup.
Click Install on Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Sequencer 5.0 Setup start up page
2. Accept the License Terms then click next
3. Select desired option on Customer Experience Improvement Program then click Install
4. The Install will begin and will take 30 seconds to a minute
5. Close on the confirmation page
6. You can launch the sequences from Start\All Programs\Microsoft Application Virtualization Sequencer\Microsoft Application Virtualization Sequencer
That’s it. You are ready to start your first App-v sequencing.
