Step by Step guide to setup current branch 1511 Fallback Status Point

A Fallback status point is a site system role that is used to help identify clients that are unmanaged because they have problems communicating with their management point. Fallback status point is an optional but recommended site system role that helps you manage clients and identify any client-related problems.
The Fallback status point receives state messages from client computers and then relays the information to the site.

Fallback Status Point can be installed on a stand-alone Primary Site or a Child primary site but not supported on a CAS.

Prerequisites for Fallback Status Point:

Installing FSP:
Open the SCCM console then navigate to Administration / Site Configuration / Servers and Site System Roles Then right click on Servers and Site System Roles, then click on Create Site System Server;

On select a server to use as a site system, type server name and pick the correct site code from the dropdown list and Select Use the site servers’ computer account to install this site system then click next;

Enter the relevant proxy server details On the Proxy tab, click next

On the Site System Role tab, select Fallback Status Point, click next;

On the Fallback Status Point tab, specify the number of state messages to process.
Leave the default value then click next;

On the Summary tab, review your setting and click next;

Wait for the setup to complete and close the wizard;

After completing the installation review fspmsi.log and smsfspsetup.log files for any errors.

Client Configuration: 
Add fallback status point details to CCMSetup parameters when installing the SCCM client. Also add the FSP details to the client installation properties on the site, which will be used for any automatic client push activities.
